Nginx is a robust web-server slash proxy-server. Not only does it perform as a reverse-proxy, comparable to Squid, it delivers static content at lightning speeds. Nginx configuration is a walk in the park for Apache users (it's all about location). There are no configuration, SSL or cookie issues that you'd run into with Squid or Varnish. Nginx is fast becoming the defacto frontline server of choice.

Hi,

Good and interesting article well written.

Have a qt - In the New Servers layout after using Nginx -- why are you forwarding the request to Apache again ?

Is it because Nginx does not support php ?

Thanks
